My router is in the office on my main floor.
Seems every night I want to watch a show before going to bed the wifi connection just sputters, buffers and basically takes 50 minutes to watch a 30 minute show. It’s enough to make you want to jump off a bridge…head first!
So, after five years I figured I’ve got to do something about this. And like always where I have no clue where to start I search on Youtube. Lo and behold, folks have video’s on Wifi extenders which are small devices that bounce your wifi signal into further away rooms.
I bought the NetGear one because it was the cheapest at 20 bucks, it had a bunch of good reviews and I’m familiar with Netgear. Of course I wasn’t expecting much. But after 5 minutes of setting it up, by literally plugging into an outlet, not sure if it has to be a 120V outlet so if you’re in Europe double check before you buy, and pushing two buttons and VOILA! I’m done and ready to rock and roll.
Does it work? Well, I have the Speedtest ap on my phone and it shows a 700% increase in MB per second from what I was receiving the other night. So, I guess the answer is Heck Yeah it works! Works great! So, get one, or another brand if you’re having Wifi issues in an area of your house that’s far from your wifi.
